Detention

Detention is a horror survival game which is based on 1960s Taiwan under martial law.

There are two main characters, Ray and Wei. The first of game begins with Wei's point of view. So I think the main character is Wei, but the main character was not Wei. This strange composition was really inspired for me.

This game is composited by 4 chapters. The first chapter was Ray is trying to find the exit by escaping the ghosts. Through it, I was able to know the story of the overall game. 

As I mentioned, The background of the game is 1960s Taiwan under martial law. 

So, there are a lot of teachers from the military in the school, and the teachers are trying to find a traitor. Here the traitor means in this game, people who want to break up a dictatorship and achieve democracy.  

When I played this game, I thought about this game just shout democracy under dictatorship, but the game describes tragedies in a way that is far more effective than drawing such struggles.

 I think the game seems to be getting players' empathy by concentrating on individuals who could not but be on the brink of dictatorship. They all want to live happily, that is all. Detention was a game that left me a lot of impressions.

Hannibal

Curating My best tv show

2013 in Las Vegas, I faced an unforgettable tv show in my life. I just turned on the tv and then changed channel unconsciously, and I encountered this tv show. 

It looked really dark generally, it was why I had interesting this tv show. 

Let me talk about visual of Hannibal. First, the title sequence of this show is the most striking piece in my life. The blood flowed in the frame and then the blood starts to make the face of the main character. Even they did not use a lot of colors and techniques, they just use liquid effect and white background that it is. They made the masterpiece by using simplest. 

As I mentioned, Hannibal is dark overall. This is because the stories are never a light topic.

Many people knew that already, Hannibal is serious killer. In addition, he beautify the murder in the show. After he kills people, he usually makes food and then he put the food on beautiful plate. It is literally art. When I look at the scene, I am really confused and I feel that I've never experienced emotion before. What does mean of ‘murder’ for Hannibal or what is ‘murder’ 

To be honest, I think Hannibal is not a good tv show, I mean, I cannot say “you should watch it, this was so fantastic”  How dare I am.

SHERLOCK

I watched Sherlock which is one of my favorite tv show. 
Honestly, I have not watched whole seasons yet, but the season 1 is the best I could tell. 

Sherlock is based on Sherlock homes stories which was written by Arthur Conan Doyle. 
I think there are many of tv shows were made by book, among them, the Sherlock seems to express the contents of the book very well. 

There are two main characters in Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes and  Dr. Watson, and the background of Sherlock is London. This part made me watch Sherlock. Sherlock made a good representation of England. When I think of England, things are drawn naturally, black taxi, Big Ben, and London Eye. Sherlock took these thing very well. 

Sherlock was really popular in Korea, and viewer rating was high. It was sensation to me who did not enjoy other country drama well. Even one of my friend had a plan to get in London because of Sherlock, she really wanted to go to Baker street. 
As I see these situation, Sherlock seems to be doing well as a media.

After I read this novel, I asked myself.

Let me talk about the novel.

Asterios Polyp is a successful architect. One day, his life begins to crack. The reason is that lightning struck his house, and he tore out of the apartment without spirit. That day was his 50th birthday. What a life it is…

Suddenly, the moment he needs to break up with his fiftieth-century life, and he accepts it. He takes a subway to go to the bus terminal. He leaves to the farthest point where he could go on the remaining cash and then he arrived Apogee. He lives totally new life. 

The beginning of a fateful journey.

The color of the novel is great, but not colorful, the color is highly restrained.

There are three main colors, blue, yellow, and red. The role of colors is merely representative of his ego.

While I was reading this novel, I thought I was not the only person who live a complicated life. I was comforted from this novel.

P.S I always welcome to a book consisting of pictures
